Introduction
We respect the privacy of Daftary’s visitors and are committed to protecting any data related to them. This policy explains what data may be collected while you use the site, how it is used, and your rights.
Data processed only on your device
- Calculator data: the numbers you enter are calculated in your browser and are never sent to any server.
- Local storage (localStorage): some tools save your choices on your own device only, such as favourite and recently used tools, your city for prayer times, the tasbeeh count and your Quran khatma plan. You can delete them at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser.
- Location: if you tap “Use my location” on prayer times, the Qibla direction or the last third of the night, your location is used in your browser for the calculation only, an approximate position is saved on your device to remember your choice, and nothing is sent anywhere.
- Offline use: your browser keeps a copy of the site’s pages (a service worker) so they open faster and work offline.
Third-party services
- Hosting: the site is hosted on Cloudflare, which records general technical request data (such as IP address and browser type) to run and protect the site; we do not use it to identify you.
- Fonts: the site’s fonts load from Google Fonts, which passes your IP address to Google when they load.
Advertising and cookies (Google AdSense)
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendors’ cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.
- To learn how Google uses data, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
- Visitors from the EEA, the UK and Switzerland see a consent message from Google before advertising cookies are used, and can change their choice at any time from the privacy and cookie settings link shown on the page.
How we use data
- Running and protecting the site and fixing technical problems.
- Showing ads through Google AdSense to cover the site’s costs and keep it free.
We do not sell your data or share it with anyone other than those named in this policy.
Your rights
You can delete or block cookies and this site’s saved data at any time in your browser settings, or use an ad blocker; note that this may remove the choices saved by some tools.
